OtterBox is such a friendly and down to earth company to work with. Ben and I were both lucky enough to receive cases for our cell phones from them to review. One of the cases (his) is pink. Hey, he’s just happy to have something to protect his new Blackberry. I’ll let you in on a secret though, the case is pink for a reason…a good cause actually. It is one of the Pink is Strength Cases for the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade Campaign. Otterbox is donating 10% of the purchase price on these strength cases to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade.

Above is a photo of our phones adorned in the two OtterBox cases we received. I love the vividness of the pink and green. Other than keeping my phone safe from dropping, those colors are my favorite feature of the cases. Sadly, I am on my fourth iPhone (in less than a year) and I wish I would have bought one of these sooner but I was afraid it wouldn’t be worth the money. Boy was I wrong! All of my previous iPhones were killed by Leland by either dropping or getting the bottom of it wet. The part that he got wet on two different phones is covered by a flap on the commuter case so I am really hoping that is something I no longer have to worry about. So far, so good.

If there were one thing I would change about my iPhone case, I would want the Apple logo covered up. I know a lot of people like to show off that they own an iPhone, but I’m not one of those people especially since my replacement phone is white (not by choice, I previously had black). I don’t like that you can see the color of my phone. I wish it were all covered like Ben’s Blackberry case.

The defender series is the next case I’d be interested in trying. I hate that it’s bulky but I understand it’s for the phone’s ultimate protection and I could use that with my reckless toddler. Before I purchase it, they need to offer it in some cuter colors, like the dark pink or lime green I already have. I hate the colors it currently comes in, every single one, so I’m hoping they release more colors soon.
