Synopsis

My Review

I was about seven or eight years old when James and the Giant Peach was released. It was probably my first time seeing anything Tim Burton had anything to do with making and I instantly fell in love with his work. The animation was ahead of its time, the Roald Dahl story was breath-taking. How could I not fall in love?

Re-watching it now in my early twenties, with my own child is amazing. At only two years of age, he recognizes a great movie when he sees it. Proof: He HAD to watch this movie two times in a row, wouldn’t have it any other way.

As always, I love the option Disney gives their customers in purchasing a combo pack. Having a blu-ray and DVD copy gives me the chance to lend a copy to a friend without hesitation. Not to mention the digital download copy comes in handy while waiting for appointments with the little one, long car trips or grocery shopping. He can just watch on the iPod or iPhone, no problem.
